Dear John and Marina,
Thanks for including me in your Level II Advanced Bowen course. I have learned so much from the Level I, it has entirely changed the way I treat my clients. Hardly a day goes by when I don’t use it on someone. My results have ALWAYS been amazing. People just love this treatment.
Often people come to me with low back pain, which I find is mostly tight glutes and hamstrings, and with just a few moves (from the Sacral and Lower Extremity sequences) all the tension just melts away. You can actually feel the muscles relax while you are doing it. It gives definition to Marina ’s “waiting for a tissue response”.
The same goes for neck and shoulder problems. I integrate Bowen with massage and energy work all the time, with much success.
I have also taken a more maverick tack and begun using the Bowen moves in a massage venue; doing the moves more gently as to feel more like traditional massage strokes, but along the Bowen patterns. My clients who did enjoy the result of Bowen, but missed the feeling of being massaged love this. They all say it is the most relaxing feeling, and I can tell by the way their bodies just melt in to the table.
